Quick verdict

Pros and Cons Guy Stapleford

Why I was curious

I was recently sent the IM8 7 day variety pack, and I was genuinely interested to try it.

As a busy dad who trains six days a week, I’m always interested in anything that simplifies the basics. Not because I’m looking for a miracle fix, but because the best products are often the ones that quietly make a routine easier to stick to.

On the face of it, IM8 clearly sits in the premium end of the market – and it certainly looks the part.

What’s in the box?

The variety pack is made up of 7 single-serve sachets, along with a really well-made bottle.

I’ll start with the positive bit: the bottle is excellent. It feels high quality, looks good, and it’s actually something I’ve kept using daily, which is probably one of the better compliments I can give.

The sachets, though, are where I’m less convinced. Personally, I really don’t like single-serve packaging like this, and I’m not sure it has much of a place in 2026, if I’m really honest. It just feels wasteful and a bit dated.

The good news is that the normal purchase option is bulk serve rather than sachets, which definitely improves things.

Here’s what IM8 says it is

IM8 positions this as a premium all-in-one daily supplement rather than something niche or highly personalised. The brand says it’s co-founded by David Beckham and developed with input from a scientific advisory team that includes advisors it associates with Mayo Clinic and NASA.

It’s also marketed as NSF Certified for Sport and third-party tested, which does add some credibility, especially for anyone who cares about quality control.

In its own materials, IM8 describes Daily Ultimate Essentials as an all-in-one powder with 92 nutrient-rich ingredients, designed to replace 16 separate daily supplements, with ingredients aimed at things like gut health, energy, joint support and general daily nutrition. The company’s launch announcement also references early findings from a 12-week study underway, including reported improvements in energy, endurance and digestion – although again, I’d treat that as brand-led context rather than the reason to buy it on its own.

And yes, let’s be honest, there’s also a big celebrity angle here. David Beckham is very much part of the brand story, and IM8’s website leans heavily into that, along with athlete ambassadors such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Aryna Sabalenka.

None of that makes it good or bad by itself, but it does explain why the product arrives with a certain level of polish and expectation.

How it fitted into real life

This is probably where IM8 worked best for me.

I drank it first thing every day with breakfast, and from a routine point of view it was very easy to stick to. If anything, it made the first part of the day feel more intentional. It also prompted me to get a decent amount of fluids in early doors, which was a positive in itself.

That matters more than people sometimes admit. A supplement can have the best ingredient list in the world, but if it’s awkward, unpleasant or easy to forget, most people won’t keep taking it.

On practicality alone, this scores well.

What I liked

The first thing that stood out was the overall quality. It feels premium, looks premium and is clearly trying to sit above the average “greens powder in a tub” crowd.

Taste-wise, I thought the flavours were decent. Not amazing, not terrible – just fairly natural and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. I’d much rather that than something that either tastes incredibly fake or like liquid pudding.

I also liked the broader idea behind it. As a catch-all daily supplement for the general population, I can absolutely see the appeal. It isn’t pretending to be tailored to every age, gender or training goal. It’s more of a straightforward “cover the bases” product, and for plenty of people that will be enough. Think of it in terms of a daily “health insurance”.

And while seven days is a short window, I did notice a positive difference around gut comfort – in particular, less bloating. That’s probably the clearest positive I could honestly point to from my own use.

What I liked less

My biggest complaint was mixability.

The powder didn’t fully dissolve, so there was usually some grit left at the bottom of the bottle. That last mouthful was often the least enjoyable part – slightly gritty, slightly bitter, and not something I looked forward to.

The other obvious point is cost. This is a premium product and the price reflects that. Fair play, it’s clearly not trying to compete on cheapness – but it is undeniably eye-watering.

I’m also deliberately being careful about overclaiming what it does after only a week. I took this during a period when I wasn’t feeling particularly well anyway, so I can’t honestly say, hand on heart, that I felt dramatically better because of IM8 alone.

That’s not a knock on the product – just a reminder that seven days gives you a first impression, not a final verdict.

There’s a lot to like in the formulation, but I still think the average customer has to work quite hard to fully understand exactly what they’re taking and why.

Final verdict

Overall, I think IM8 makes a very strong first impression.

It’s premium, easy to use and genuinely fits well into a simple morning routine. I liked the bottle, I liked the convenience, and I did notice some positive impact on bloating. On the flip side, I didn’t like the sachets, I wasn’t a fan of the gritty finish, and the price puts it firmly in the “considered purchase” category.

Would I spend my own money on this and therefore recommend it?

Yes, I probably would, if it fits your budget.

But I’d say that with one caveat: I think a full month would be a much fairer test than seven days. A week is enough to decide whether you like using it. It’s probably not enough to make a big judgement on the longer-term benefits.
