I need your help with my next two challenges – in July and August I will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge and attempting to walk 110km of the Thames Path, from Tower Bridge to Henley Bridge, within 24 hours. Both challenges are walking some iconic places and travelling some big distances – so its a great opportunity to keep up the good work in raising awareness of Make-A-Wish UK and do something a little bit different.
I’ve got a flag and what I want to do is cover it with names, wishes and messages of hope to all those children and young people out there who have received or are in need a wish. I’ll carry your wishes with me and when I’m on top of these mountains I am going to fly the flag – in much the same way as a prayer flags used by Tibetans – the wind will blow all of that love and hope in the air and spread it far and wide.
The Wish Flag and two messages, 1 from Wish Dad Tony Frobisher and 2 from Guy Stapleford and his two children
I’m not a religious man and I know this isn’t going to change the world, but its something, its a way to remind you that there is always hope – because no child in this world should have to live without hope. Its just a gesture, but I hope you’ll agree that reflects just a little bit of what Make-A-Wish does. So, if you know a child or young person who is in need of a wish, or your would like to send a wish to someone – then simply write a message in the comments below and I will make sure they are all added on the flag.

I’d love to get as many messages as possible printed on to the Wish Flag, so please share this post with your friends.
