Three weeks to go until Challenge 1, the Wokingham Half Marathon…

I’m feeling nervous, excited and but more I am feeling strong and ready for this. There is a lot more training ahead but I am working hard. Now that I’ve got a lot of the challenges confirmed, I thought I’d pull a little ‘Challenge Calendar’ together to help visualise the task ahead for 2017…

…and boy, is 2017 looking good!

Some of these challenges are ‘bucket list’ events for me – Three Peaks, London to Brighton and John O’Groats to Land’s End are things I’ve thought about before and never had the push to get on and do them. So why not do them for a good reason too? For me, Make-A-Wish UK is that good reason – every child should have the chance to be what they want to be, and people’s generosity allows Make-A-Wish to grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

I have completed a Half Marathon, once before at Silverstone, so the others are completely new and somewhat unknown to me, but then that’s half the fun – training and learning how to be the best version of me I can be. It is not about anyone else, I’ve set my own benchmark with these challenges and I am to smash it!
